We are looking for new members of the USA Cheerleaders in the MD/DC/VA/DE/PA area. This year we are adding a coed team & Ambassadors to the program along with the Show Team. We are looking for males & females 18 yrs old & up. Ambassadors do not need cheer/dance background. Coed Team, MUST have Coed Stunting Experience. Tryouts will be on Sept. 12,2010, at 2:00 pm at the Gold's Gym in Glen Burnie by Davids Bridal. For more information: email:ken@cheerleading-usa.com for more info!!

The USA Cheerleaders: Maryland Show Team

Tryouts:

 

 

 

 

 

When:

Ongoing tryouts throughout the season. If you are interested in being a member of the USA Cheerleaders  please email the USA Cheerleaders Executive Director/Founder Ken Martin @ ken@cheerleading-usa.com to schedule a tryout.

What to wear to tryouts:
2 – piece attire
Top: Athletic/Dance Bra Top                                                tryout1
Bottoms: Hot Pants(shorts)
No tank tops or bike shorts(spandex) allowed
Skin colored dance tights(not shimmer)
Any type of dance shoe
How you should look for tryouts:
Full hair & makeup
Make sure your hair and makeup compliment your skin type and your facial features. Hair must be worn down. (no pony tails, bows)
Eligibility:
Must be 18 years old. No Exceptions. Current HS Seniors may tryout, as long as they meet the age requirements by May 13, 2010.
There is no Height or Weight requirement, but you must be able to wear our uniform, and look presentable in it at all times.
What you will be judged on at tryouts:
Dance/Cheer Ability
Overall Appearance
Figure
Poise
Showmanship/Enthusiasm
You will learn a 3 to 5 count dance segment.
You will be judged on a toe touch
You will have an optional trick to perform, IE; leaps, turns, tumbling pass, a technical series, etc. Make sure it is your best trick to be judged on.
Important Information to know:
You must be available for the USA Cheerleaders annual Swimsuit Photo Shoot. Dates are to be determined. All USA Cheerleaders are required to attend the photo shoot.
If chosen for the program, you will have financial obligations that you must fulfill to the program. There will be fundraising opportunities as well as personal sponsorships opportunities to help cover/reduce your cost.
There is a registration fee, uniform fees (uniform,warm-up, boots, etc.)
You must obtain a Passport immediately if you are chosen to be a part of the program.
What to bring to tryouts:
A completed application that includes a non returnable head and body shot photograph*
$20.00 Tryout Fee (non-refundable)
Driver’s License or Passport for Identification purposes (required)
Other attire (in case you need, IE; tights, shorts,tops)
Water & snacks
Personal items you may need, like curling irons, hairspray, makeup, etc..
A pen
Time commitment needed to be a USA Cheerleader:
Rehearsals are one day a week, usually a Sunday, (more practices may be added at the Directors discretion)
Personal Appearances/Performances (both charity & paid)
Travel
Website/Fan mail ( USA Cheerleaders contribute to the website with articles, blogging and returning fan emails)
